Covington, Kentucky, United States, June 2026 — Kate Christoff has recently started a new role as Chief People Officer at DBL Law, bringing extensive experience in legal talent management, professional development, recruitment, analytics, community engagement, and legal operations.
In her new role, Kate will lead the firm’s people strategy, talent development, recruitment, employee engagement, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. Her appointment reflects DBL Law’s commitment to investing in its people and supporting the continued growth of its client-focused legal practice.
Prior to joining DBL Law, Kate spent more than four years with Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK Law) as Director of Legal Talent, where she was responsible for legal recruitment, attorney development, talent management, and workforce planning. Her tenure strengthened her expertise in attracting, developing, and retaining legal professionals while supporting the firm’s long-term talent strategy.
Before KMK Law, Kate served as Recruiting and Analytics Manager, Center for Professional Development at the University of Cincinnati College of Law for nearly seven years. In this role, she supported student career development, employer engagement, legal recruitment initiatives, and data-driven talent programs designed to enhance professional outcomes for law graduates.
Earlier, she worked as CLE Administrator at the Cincinnati Bar Association, managing continuing legal education programs and supporting professional development initiatives for members of the legal community.
Kate’s professional journey also includes public service experience as Director of Community Engagement for Councilmember Yvette Simpson, City of Cincinnati, where she led stakeholder engagement and community outreach initiatives. She additionally gained legal practice experience as a Contract Attorney at Keating Muething & Klekamp, supporting litigation matters and document review projects.
Her earlier career included leadership and project management roles with LPK, where she managed client relationships, branding initiatives, and project delivery. She also served as Assistant Prosecutor for the City of Lima Law Department, representing the city in criminal and misdemeanor proceedings and gaining valuable courtroom and legal experience.
Additional experience includes roles with Macy’s Retail Holdings, Hunt & Johnson, Beckman Weil Shepardson LLC, Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP, and the Ohio House of Representatives, where she developed expertise across legal research, public policy, client services, and organizational leadership.
With a unique combination of legal, talent, recruitment, leadership, and organizational development experience, Kate brings a well-rounded perspective to her new role as Chief People Officer at DBL Law.
