Hyderabad, India, July 2026 — CIBC India has appointed Sreekanth Samudrala as Director – HR Business Partner, strengthening its people leadership team as the organization continues to expand its technology and operations capabilities in India. He brings over 18 years of experience in strategic human resources, HR business partnering, organizational transformation, leadership development, talent management, and people strategy across banking, technology, engineering, and global capability centers.
In his new role at CIBC India, Sreekanth will partner with business leaders to align people strategies with organizational priorities, helping build a high-performance culture while supporting the bank’s continued growth and innovation journey from its Hyderabad technology and operations hub.
Prior to joining CIBC India, Sreekanth served as Assistant Vice President – Human Resources at HSBC, where he spent nearly five years partnering with business leaders on strategic HR initiatives across the bank’s global operations. During his tenure, he played a key role in driving HR business partnering, talent management, organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and workforce planning to support business transformation.
Earlier, he was Manager – Human Resources (Head HR, India) at Bullhorn, where he led the India HR function, overseeing people strategy, employee engagement, talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational development during the company’s growth phase in India.
Before Bullhorn, Sreekanth spent more than six years at IGT as Manager – People Partner (Head HR, India). In this leadership role, he was responsible for the end-to-end HR function for the India operations, partnering closely with business leaders to strengthen talent management, employee engagement, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and HR operations.
His earlier career includes HR leadership roles at Mentor Graphics, where he served as Senior Human Resources Generalist, and Collins Aerospace, where he began his corporate HR journey as Human Resources Generalist, building strong expertise across HR operations, employee relations, talent management, and business partnering within global engineering and technology organizations.
Sreekanth has consistently built expertise across strategic HR business partnering, organizational development, leadership coaching, talent strategy, workforce planning, employee engagement, and change management, making him well positioned to support CIBC India’s next phase of growth.
Academically, he holds an MBA in Human Resources from Osmania University. He has further strengthened his executive leadership capabilities through the Leadership & Change Management Management Development Program at XLRI Jamshedpur and completed a specialized program in HR Analytics at the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak, reflecting his commitment to combining strategic HR leadership with data-driven decision-making.
