Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, July 2026 — HCLTech has elevated Chandini Kamal to the role of Vice President, Global Head – People & Culture (Engage & Experience, Wellness, Rewards & Recognition, and Diversity & Inclusion). In her expanded leadership role, she will continue to shape HCLTech’s global people strategy by strengthening employee engagement, workplace experience, wellness, rewards and recognition, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the organization’s worldwide workforce.
This promotion marks another significant milestone in Chandini’s distinguished journey with HCLTech, where she has spent more than 15 years building and leading several of the company’s most impactful people and culture initiatives. Prior to this elevation, she served as Global Head – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, People & Culture (Engage & Experience, Wellness, Rewards & Recognition), leading global programmes focused on employee experience, inclusion, wellbeing, and organizational culture. Earlier, she also served as Global Head – Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Engagement & Experience, Wellness, Rewards & Recognition, helping establish HCLTech as one of the industry’s leading employers through innovative people practices.
Before assuming global leadership responsibilities, Chandini held key HR leadership positions within HCLTech, including HR Head – Enabling Functions & Global Employee Engagement Lead, HR Head – Enabling Functions, and Global Head – Employee Engagement. During this period, she designed and implemented enterprise-wide engagement strategies, career development initiatives, recognition programmes, performance management frameworks, learning interventions, reskilling initiatives, and employee experience programmes while leading large global teams supporting both offshore and international employees.
Prior to joining HCLTech, Chandini served as Senior Human Resources at Motorola, where she managed employee engagement, employee relations, communications, and HR operations. Earlier, she held leadership positions at OfficeTiger Database Systems India Pvt. Ltd. and RR Donnelley India Outsource Pvt. Ltd., leading corporate HR, shared services, compensation and benefits, HR integration, policy harmonization, and PeopleSoft implementation across the Asia-Pacific region. She began her HR career with Cactus Imaging India Pvt. Ltd., managing HR and administration functions.
With over two decades of HR leadership experience across global technology, business services, and multinational organizations, Chandini Kamal has built deep expertise in employee engagement, organizational culture, diversity, equity and inclusion, employee wellbeing, leadership development, rewards and recognition, HR transformation, and strategic people management. Her elevation reflects HCLTech’s continued commitment to building an inclusive, people-first organization while supporting the evolving needs of its global workforce.
Chandini Kamal completed the People Next executive leadership programme from the School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) (2013–2014). She also holds a PGDBA in Human Resources from Symbiosis (2004–2006).
