Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has promoted Pushkar Pund to Vice President – HR Business Partner (Sales & Distribution and Customer Service). In his expanded leadership role, he will drive the people strategy for the company’s commercial and customer-facing functions, partnering with business leaders to build high-performing, future-ready teams across Sales, Distribution, and Customer Service.
Sharing the announcement, Pushkar said he is excited to lead the HR strategy for the teams that connect Vodafone Idea’s brand with millions of customers every day. He highlighted the growing importance of business agility, leadership development, and emerging technologies such as Generative AI in shaping the future of customer-facing organizations and expressed his commitment to building teams that deliver meaningful business impact.
Prior to this promotion, Pushkar served as General Manager – HR Business Partner at Vodafone Idea Limited, where he partnered with business leaders to drive talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership development, and people transformation initiatives across key business functions.
Before joining Vodafone Idea, Pushkar was an HR Business Partner at Amazon, supporting one of the world’s largest technology and e-commerce organizations. In this role, he partnered with business leaders on talent management, organizational capability, employee engagement, leadership development, and workforce planning within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Earlier, he spent more than six years with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, progressing through multiple HR leadership positions including Site HR Head, Lead HR Business Partner, and HR Business Partner. During this period, he led HR strategy for manufacturing operations, strengthened business partnering, drove employee engagement, organizational development, capability building, industrial relations, and talent initiatives supporting business growth.
Before transitioning into human resources, Pushkar began his career with Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he spent four years in technology consulting and application development, working on life sciences solutions for global pharmaceutical clients. He also completed a summer internship with Biogen, contributing to a strategy project focused on enabling public-private partnerships in India.
With over 16 years of professional experience spanning telecommunications, technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and e-commerce, Pushkar Pund combines strong business acumen with deep expertise in HR business partnering, talent strategy, leadership development, organizational transformation, employee engagement, workforce planning, and people analytics. His promotion reflects Vodafone Idea’s continued investment in strengthening leadership capabilities that support business growth and customer excellence.
Pushkar Pund holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Human Resources Management from XLRI Jamshedpur (2014–2016).
