Glendale, California, United States, July 2026 — Public Storage has appointed Pam Valentine as its Senior Vice President Human Resources. In her new role, Pam will lead the company’s global human resources strategy, overseeing talent, leadership, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and people initiatives for the nation’s largest self-storage company. Her appointment follows the successful acquisition of NSA Storage by Public Storage, where she played a pivotal leadership role in driving the people and technology agenda through a period of significant business growth and transformation.
Prior to joining Public Storage, Pam Valentine served as Senior Vice President – People & IT Operations at NSA Storage, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team. She was responsible for shaping the organization’s human capital strategy and information technology direction for the rapidly growing US$6 billion business. During her tenure, she led enterprise-wide people and IT functions, supported mergers and acquisitions, strengthened employee development and engagement, and successfully guided the people integration following Public Storage’s US$10 billion acquisition of NSA Storage.
Before NSA Storage, Pam worked as an Executive Coach, helping leaders and organizations strengthen leadership capability and executive effectiveness. Earlier, she served as Talent Acquisition & Development Leader – Healthcare / M&A at Jabil, where she led recruitment strategy for a US$4 billion global healthcare division spanning the United States and Mexico. She established talent acquisition capabilities for major acquisitions, reduced hiring cycle times significantly, implemented Workday recruitment solutions, introduced one of HR’s first Net Promoter Score (NPS) initiatives, and played a key role in talent integration following large-scale acquisitions.
Earlier in her career, Pam was Global Human Resources Director at WTA, where she rebuilt the global HR function, led business restructuring initiatives, implemented leadership development programmes, launched global HR systems, and managed HR operations across the United States, the United Kingdom, and China. Prior to that, she served as Human Resources Director at Freedom Information Systems, leading HR operations, government contracting workforce support, benefits redesign, payroll transformation, compliance, and organizational development.
Pam began her HR career with Trinity Mirror Group PLC as an HR Generalist, managing employee relations, employment legislation, disciplinary matters, and employment tribunal cases across Scotland. She subsequently joined the National Australia Bank Group as a People & Culture Consultant, where she led large-scale organizational restructuring, payroll transformation, employee consultation, talent reviews, performance management implementation, recruitment campaigns, and change management initiatives, building a strong foundation in strategic human resources and organizational transformation.
