Montreal, Quebec — GardaWorld, the global leader in private security, has announced Beata Belfer as its new National Director of Human Resources. With over a decade of experience in the human resources field, Belfer brings a robust background in labor relations and HR management to her new role.

Before joining GardaWorld, Belfer was integral to Swissport’s operations in Canada, serving as Labour Relations Manager from November 2020 until her recent transition in April 2024. In this capacity, she led comprehensive labor relations strategies and initiatives, which have been crucial for the company’s HR operations across Canada.

Prior to Swissport, Belfer enhanced her HR expertise as a Human Resources Manager and earlier as a Labour Relations Advisor. Her tenure at Swissport totaled over seven years, during which she spearheaded numerous successful HR policies and labor negotiations.

Belfer’s earlier roles included serving as Human Resources Coordinator for The CSL Group Inc./V.Ships Canada Inc., where she acted as the primary HR contact for shipboard personnel, covering everything from recruitment to performance management. Her responsibilities highlighted her capability to manage complex HR issues effectively and compassionately.

Before her time with The CSL Group, Belfer was an HR Assistant at the same organization, focusing on workers’ compensation and employee rehabilitation programs. Additionally, her career started with roles at IBM Canada Ltd., where she was part of a pivotal team that managed HR data workflows during a significant outsourcing project with Air Canada.
