This leadership move signals WPP’s focus on building a future-ready workforce, enhancing leadership capability, and embedding a strong, purpose-driven culture aligned with its transformation agenda.
Mark Taylor brings decades of global experience in human resources leadership, organizational transformation, and governance. Most recently, he served as an advisor to public and large-scale family-owned businesses, focusing on strategy, governance, succession planning, and board evolution.
Prior to this, he was Chief People Advisor at the LEGO Group, where he worked closely with ownership and board leadership on executive hiring, leadership assessments, and HR transformation across the LEGO ecosystem. He played a pivotal role in restructuring the HR function and strengthening governance frameworks across the group.
Earlier, Mark served as Chief People Officer at King, where he led people strategy during a critical phase of transformation, including integration with Activision Blizzard. He helped establish a new operating model and drove alignment across global teams.
He also spent nearly a decade as Chief People Officer at Burberry, where he played a central role in transforming the organization from a traditional wholesaler into a digitally-driven global luxury retailer, shaping its culture and talent strategy during a period of reinvention.
Earlier in his career, he held senior HR leadership roles at Kimberly-Clark and GSK, building deep expertise across global markets and complex organizational environments.
Mark’s appointment reflects WPP’s strategic emphasis on leveraging world-class HR leadership to drive business transformation, strengthen leadership pipelines, and enable long-term sustainable growth.
