In this strategic regional role, Voona will lead the people and culture agenda for ABB Robotics across India, the Middle East, and Africa. He will partner closely with business leadership to drive workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and culture transformation across a dynamic and innovation-led industrial environment.

Prior to joining ABB, Voona spent over 15 years at Airbus, where he most recently headed HR for Airbus India’s Digital & Information Management Global Capability Centre (GCC). As Regional Senior HRBP, he held end-to-end accountability for the people charter, spanning organization design, workforce planning, leadership & succession, culture, and talent strategy. He played a pivotal role in scaling the Digital function from approximately 25 to 1,500 employees within five years, partnering with the CIO to institutionalize a robust leadership ecosystem and develop over 80 leaders across multiple layers.

Earlier at Airbus, he led Talent Acquisition, Employment Marketing, and HR Digitalization for India & South Asia during a period of accelerated growth, scaling engineering and digital capabilities significantly. He also served as Business Owner for end-to-end Workday implementation, driving HR digital transformation and strengthening governance, employee experience, and service delivery at scale. His efforts contributed to strong employer brand positioning and sustained recognition through Great Place to Work® and Top Employer certifications.

Voona began his HR journey with Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India and gained early experience with Max Life Insurance Company Limited. He is currently part of the FUTURE CHRO Programme at the Indian School of Business and has also completed the Business Storytelling & Executive Presence Programme at the Indian School of Business, strengthening his leadership and executive communication capabilities.

With deep expertise in GCC building, HR transformation, digitalization, and large-scale people strategy, Voona brings a powerful combination of enterprise HR leadership and transformation capability to ABB Robotics.
