Virginia, United States, September 2024 – IT Concepts, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Abby Dammeier to Director of Talent Acquisition and Security. Abby has been a vital contributor to the company, showcasing exceptional expertise in both recruiting and security. In her new role, Abby will oversee the development and execution of innovative recruitment strategies, ensuring that IT Concepts continues to attract top-tier talent while also enhancing personnel security processes to maintain compliance and ensure timely hiring of cleared staff. Her leadership will be key as the company strengthens its expertise culture.
Prior to her current role, Abby served as Talent Acquisition Manager/FSO at IT Concepts, Inc. for approximately 1.5 years. In this position, she led the strategic planning and execution of recruitment and security processes, playing a pivotal role in talent acquisition and managing DoD and other federal contracts.
Before joining IT Concepts, Abby spent nearly 4 years at Preting Consulting, where she progressed from Preting Support Staff/Recruiting to Program Manager. During her tenure, she managed DoD contracts, handled recruiting, and oversaw day-to-day operations, significantly contributing to the company’s growth.
Abby’s earlier experience includes a nearly 3-year stint as a Program Management Support Specialist at URS Corporation, An AECOM Company, where she was responsible for managing 130+ employees, handling contract proposals, and maintaining security clearances.
Her career began in the United States Air Force, where she served for over 6 years, first as an OSI Special Agent and later as a Case Officer. Abby led critical counterintelligence operations and supported multiple CI cases at Nellis AFB, earning recognition for her leadership and dedication.
