Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 — Abhijit Dutta has joined Pepperfry as Director – Business Development, bringing with him decades of leadership experience across renowned organizations such as Reckitt Benckiser India, NIVEA, Nokia, Tally Solutions, Innoviti Payment Solutions, and Believe Pte Ltd. In his new role, Abhijit will focus on expanding Pepperfry’s B2B business by forging strategic partnerships and delivering customized furniture and décor solutions tailored for hotels, restaurants, cafes, second homes, service apartments, and bulk buyers. His deep expertise in P&L management, sales strategy, branding, and operational excellence will play a key role in accelerating Pepperfry’s B2B growth.
Before joining Pepperfry, Abhijit served as Chief Strategy Officer and Advisor to the Board at HostBooks Limited, where he worked closely with the founding team on sales and GTM strategy, branding, people development, and global expansion. Prior to that, he was the Chief Business Officer at Believe Pte Ltd, where he built the business from the ground up to over ₹120 crore in annual revenue and scaled a 400+ member team in just three years.
He also served as Chief Revenue Officer and Vice President – Sales & Business Development at Innoviti Payment Solutions, where he led the retail business strategy and expansion in the SME payment automation space. At Tally Solutions, Abhijit held leadership roles including Director – Partner Sales and Head – Channel Business Group, spearheading nationwide channel growth and promoting automation among SMEs in India.
Earlier in his career, Abhijit spent nearly five years at HCL Infosystems, overseeing mobile distribution for Nokia and leading national sales operations. He also held regional and national sales leadership roles at NIVEA India, where he helped establish the brand’s initial distribution footprint in India. His career began with a long stint at Reckitt Benckiser, where he rose through the ranks over 13 years, gaining a strong foundation in rural and urban trade management.
