London, United Kingdom, October 2025 — Cleveland Clinic London has announced the appointment of Abigail Stapleton as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In her new role, Abigail will lead the hospital’s commercial strategy, partnerships, and business development initiatives to strengthen its position as a premier destination for world-class healthcare.
Abigail has been with Cleveland Clinic since 2020, holding several senior leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of International Strategy, where she played a key role in shaping the organization’s global strategic direction and was part of the Cleveland Clinic London Executive team as well as the Cleveland Clinic Global Strategy leadership team. Prior to that, she was Director of Business Development & Strategy and earlier Head of Business Development at Cleveland Clinic London, where she drove growth initiatives and strategic collaborations.
Before joining Cleveland Clinic, Abigail worked with King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as Director of Strategy & Commercial, where she focused on business transformation and commercial growth. Her earlier career includes senior roles at Bupa as Head of Strategy & Development, where she led innovation and strategic partnerships, and at Bain & Company as a Consultant, advising on growth and performance improvement across sectors.
She also gained experience in healthcare policy and communications through her roles as Senior Public Affairs Officer at NHS Confederation, Consultant at Lexington Communications, and Senior Account Executive at Weber Shandwick. This diverse career path has provided her with deep expertise in healthcare strategy, commercial development, and stakeholder engagement.
