Obajana, Kogi State, Nigeria, March 2025 – Adam Zubair has stepped into the role of Head of Talent Management at Dangote Cement Plc, marking a significant leadership transition within the company’s HR function. In his new position, Adam will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent across Dangote Cement’s operations, reinforcing the company’s commitment to building world-class teams in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Prior to this elevation, Adam served as AGM – Payroll at Dangote Cement Plc for nearly three years, based out of Lagos. In that role, he was instrumental in optimizing payroll processes, aligning compensation practices with organizational objectives, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulations.

Before joining Dangote Cement, Adam was with CHI Limited as Human Resources Information System Manager for over three years, where he led HRIS modernization initiatives and implemented data-driven strategies that streamlined HR operations and enhanced workforce insights.
Earlier, he worked for over seven years at Lafarge Africa Plc as Payroll Manager – East, where he managed complex multi-site payroll operations and played a pivotal role in improving payroll accuracy and cycle time. His leadership contributed significantly to organizational efficiency in the region.
Adam’s career began with roles at Nassim Kawaja & Bros, UniCem Nigeria, and Transcorp Hotels Plc, where he gained deep expertise in HR operations, payroll systems, and enterprise software like Oracle. His comprehensive understanding of people systems and workforce administration has built a solid foundation for his current leadership in talent management.
