Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany, October 2025 — The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has announced the promotion of Adeel Tariq to Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources – Yokohama ATG (Y-ATG) Business, marking a key milestone in his distinguished HR leadership journey. In his elevated role, Adeel will lead the global people strategy across the Y-ATG business, which operates from three headquarters in the United States, Europe, and India, overseeing HR initiatives that span over 120 countries worldwide.
Adeel expressed his gratitude for this new opportunity, emphasizing his commitment to driving growth, innovation, and people-first initiatives across the organization. His promotion reflects both his proven leadership and his continued focus on aligning talent strategy with the company’s global ambitions.
Adeel has been associated with The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. since early 2022, where he has held several pivotal leadership roles. Before this promotion, he served as Vice President – Global HR, Talent Acquisition & Organization Development for Alliance, Trelleborg, Goodyear OTR, and Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT), leading HR operations across a global network of 16,000 employees and 16 manufacturing plants. During this time, he focused on strengthening internal recruitment capabilities, building robust talent pipelines, and fostering internal mobility to enhance leadership continuity and organizational capability.
Earlier, Adeel served as Vice President – HR & General Affairs, ICT, and Legal at YOKOHAMA Europe GmbH, where he led human resources and compliance functions across the European region. His strategic oversight extended to HR transformation, legal governance, ICT modernization, and operational excellence, contributing to Yokohama’s mission of delivering high-quality products and strengthening its European footprint.
Prior to joining Yokohama, Adeel gained extensive HR leadership experience at Prometeon Tyre Group, where he served as Senior Global HR Business Partner and Regional HR Manager for Europe. He was instrumental in managing HR transformation, talent acquisition, organizational design, and M&A integrations across multiple European markets. His work during this time played a key role in harmonizing HR systems, optimizing processes, and driving a high-performance culture.
Adeel began his HR career with Bridgestone, where he served as HR Operations Leader for the DACH region, focusing on process optimization, organizational restructuring, and performance management systems. His earlier experience also includes a long tenure with the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), where he gained foundational expertise in personnel management, leadership development, and SAP-based HR systems.
Adeel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Personnel Management from Sommerhoff Management, Germany, and brings over two decades of experience in global HR leadership, organizational transformation, and talent strategy.
