Adit Ahuja Appointed as Joint President - Human Resources at UltraTech Cement

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Adit Ahuja has taken on the role of Joint President – Human Resources at UltraTech Cement, where he will lead HR functions across cement marketing, sales, logistics, and commercial operations. His responsibilities will also extend to the Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) and Building Products Division (BPD), ensuring seamless workforce management and strategic talent development. With over two decades of experience across multiple industries, he brings expertise in HR strategy, organizational development, rewards, and talent management to his new position.

Prior to this role, Adit Ahuja served as Head of Human Resources – Ethnic Brands at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. for over a year, where he was responsible for driving the people agenda for premium brands like Sabyasachi, Shantanu & Nikhil, TASVA, Jaypore, and House of Masaba. He also spearheaded HR operations across performance management, rewards, digital transformation, and talent acquisition for Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail.

Before joining Aditya Birla, he spent over four years at Tata Consumer Products, where he progressed from General Manager – Global HR to Senior Vice President – Talent & Learning. During his tenure, he led talent acquisition, young talent programs, and learning & development initiatives while strengthening the company’s talent management framework.

A significant portion of his career was with Tata Group, where he spent over nine years in multiple leadership roles, including General Manager – Group Human Resources. He was instrumental in leading performance and rewards strategy across Tata group companies and supporting business HR for Tata Sons, focusing on HR policies, digitization, and employee development.

Earlier in his career, he was associated with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for nearly four years, leading compensation and benefits for 10,000+ employees. His achievements included wage cost optimization, performance management enhancements, and the introduction of new HR frameworks. He also gained experience at WTW (formerly Towers Watson) as an Associate Consultant, handling client management and compensation benchmarking projects.
