Cairo, Egypt, January 2026 — Orange Business, a leading European network and digital integrator, has announced the appointment of Ahmad El Shawarby as Head of Human Resources – Egypt.
In his new role, Ahmad will lead the people strategy for Orange Business in Egypt, driving talent development, organizational effectiveness, and workforce transformation initiatives to support the company’s fast-growing digital, cloud, AI, and cybersecurity operations in the region.
Ahmad El Shawarby brings more than fifteen years of human resources leadership experience across telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and multinational business environments.
Before stepping into his current role, he spent over six years with Orange Business, most recently serving as Head of HR – Middle East & Turkey, where he led multi-country HR strategies, workforce transformation initiatives, and leadership development programs across a complex regional footprint. Earlier, he also served as an HR Consultant within the organization.
Prior to Orange Business, Ahmad built a strong pharmaceutical HR career with Lundbeck, where he progressed through roles including Regional HR Specialist – Middle East Region, HR Business Partner – Middle East Region, and Regional HR Manager – Middle East & North Africa, managing regional recruitment, performance management, compensation benchmarking, and policy frameworks.
Earlier in his career, he held talent acquisition and resourcing leadership roles with Vodafone International Services and MULTISKILLS Recruitment & HR Consultancy, and began his professional journey with GlaxoSmithKline as a Medical Representative.
Ahmad holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from The American University in Cairo and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Biotechnology from The German University in Cairo.
