Akhil Saraf Appointed as CEO of Kirloskar Solar Technologies

Pune, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 — Kirloskar Solar Technologies, part of the Kirloskar Group, has announced the appointment of Akhil Saraf as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will continue to serve as Leader – Global New Energy Business at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL), marking a significant step in the Group’s strategic vision to strengthen its clean energy portfolio.

In his expanded mandate, Akhil will lead the full Product and Projects portfolio at Kirloskar Solar Technologies, driving innovation, market expansion, and strategic partnerships to advance the company’s renewable energy leadership. At KOEL, he continues to spearhead initiatives in carbon-free energy generation, energy storage systems, and clean fuel adoption, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to sustainability and next-generation New Energy solutions.

With over a decade of experience across Kirloskar Oil Engines, Kirloskar Solar Technologies, Cummins Inc., and Punj Lloyd Limited, Akhil brings deep expertise in strategy, marketing, business development, and technology-driven transformation. His proven ability to launch new products, deliver growth, and enhance operational excellence positions him to drive Kirloskar’s ambitious clean energy roadmap forward.

Akhil holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology. His appointment underscores the Kirloskar Group’s commitment to innovation-led, sustainable growth aligned with India’s clean energy future.
