Since joining Ciena in 2025 as Account Leader, Akshat has played a pivotal role in driving solution-led enterprise and public-sector engagements, orchestrating multi-layered deal cycles, and delivering measurable business value. His strategic leadership has been central to accelerating Ciena’s transformation initiatives and expanding its reach in next-generation network services.
Before joining Ciena, Akshat built a distinguished career spanning Salesforce, Cisco, Aujas Cybersecurity, Mahindra Comviva, and Wipro, where he developed deep expertise in cloud computing, cybersecurity, telecom, and enterprise transformation. At Salesforce, he led compliance-driven digital transformation initiatives and new revenue growth across financial, retail, and communication verticals. During his eight-year tenure at Cisco, he spearheaded partner ecosystem expansion and solution adoption across Asia, significantly contributing to revenue growth and technology integration.
Earlier in his career, Akshat held leadership roles at Aujas Cybersecurity and Mahindra Comviva, where he managed enterprise consulting and market development for telecom and information risk domains. At Wipro, he was responsible for large-scale technology enablement, pre-sales strategy, and global alliance management, deepening his foundation in enterprise IT solutions.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, where he earned his MBA in Marketing, Finance, and Strategic Management, Akshat also distinguished himself as a Corporate Debate Champion and active member of the Corporate and Media Interaction Cell at Vinod Gupta School of Management. His academic and professional journey reflects a strong blend of analytical acumen, strategic leadership, and customer-centric innovation.
