In this leadership role, Al will oversee the company’s people strategy across the UK, strengthening talent management, employee engagement, and organizational capability as Brainlabs continues its rapid global expansion.
With over 15 years of human resources and talent leadership experience, Al Bullock has built a career marked by transformation, inclusivity, and people-centered innovation across some of the UK’s most recognized organizations.
Before stepping into his new role, Al served as Senior People Partner – UK & EMEA at Brainlabs for nearly three years, where he led people initiatives across multiple regions. He played a key role in organizational development, DEIB strategy, workforce planning, and leadership development, supporting Brainlabs’ continued scaling as one of the world’s top independent media agencies.
Earlier, Al worked with Cancer Research UK (CRUK) as HR Business Partner, contributing to HR strategy, change management, and employee engagement for one of the UK’s largest non-profit organizations. His work supported CRUK’s mission through stronger HR processes, inclusion frameworks, and capability-building initiatives across distributed teams.
Prior to that, Al spent more than 11 years at Sainsbury’s, one of the UK’s leading retail chains, where he held multiple roles, including Senior Talent Partner / Head of Talent – Retail, HR Change Manager (Sainsbury’s Argos), HR Manager, and HR Business Associate. Across these positions, he was instrumental in implementing change programs, talent strategies, and leadership development initiatives during one of the most transformative periods in Sainsbury’s history.
His early career with Sainsbury’s included roles in Talent & Performance, project management, and retail operations, giving him a strong understanding of business dynamics and the link between operational excellence and people success.
