Derby, England, United Kingdom, February 2026 — Alex Lowe has been appointed as VP People at Rolls-Royce, taking on a key leadership role in shaping the company’s people strategy and organizational effectiveness. In this capacity, he will support the business in advancing its workforce capabilities and strengthening HR frameworks aligned with its innovation-driven agenda.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Alex Lowe spent over seven years at Boots UK, most recently serving as Head of People – Supply Chain, Logistics & Central Operations. In this role, he partnered closely with senior operational leaders, led large HR teams, managed trade union relations, and drove complex organizational design initiatives across an environment supporting thousands of colleagues. He also previously led the organization-wide HRIS Strategy, developing a comprehensive HR technology roadmap and business case to support a workforce of approximately 55,000 employees.
Earlier at Boots UK, he held senior HR leadership roles supporting marketing, digital, ecommerce, and communications functions, where he developed strategic people plans, guided complex employee relations matters, and led leadership and capability development initiatives. Before joining Boots, Alex Lowe built foundational HR experience at E.ON UK, where he progressed through graduate and generalist HR roles, delivering large-scale change programs, talent initiatives, and trade union engagement. His early career also included roles with Expion Search & Selection, PepsiCo, and Culina Group Limited. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Human Resources from Northumbria University.
