Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, March 2026 — Ownly (Food Marketplace by Rapido) has appointed Amar Choudhary as Vice President, Restaurant Operations. Based in Bengaluru, he will lead the restaurant management function as Ownly builds a zero-commission food marketplace focused on transparent pricing.
In his new role, Amar’s mandate includes strengthening restaurant partner operations and execution as Ownly scales its marketplace model—starting with Bengaluru and expanding to newer markets over time.
Before joining Ownly, Amar served as Chief Executive Officer at 1Lattice, where he led P&L and business priorities across research, intelligence, insights, and knowledge enablement.
Earlier, he was SVP Retail and Head of Marketing at DealShare, where he led pan-India demand generation, driving traffic and conversion, new user acquisition, and retention and reactivation programs. He also handled market-level topline, margins, operations, and profitability responsibilities across key regions.
He previously served as Business Head – Fulfilment Services at Magicbricks, where he built a new services business unit from scratch, created digital products across multiple consumer services, established partnerships with a large ecosystem of service providers, and managed growth and profitability.
Before that, he was Chief Operating Officer at Zolo, where he led a large P&L and drove rapid scale-up across cities, building demand and inventory while focusing on operations and customer satisfaction.
Amar also co-founded FinAskUs and served as Co-Founder & CEO, building a fintech platform for automated personal finance and digital investing, and later exiting the venture through a strategic acquisition.
His earlier career includes serving as Senior Director – Retail at Flipkart, Group Head – Corporate Strategy at Arvind Limited, and as a Principal at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he worked across consumer, retail and industrial topics spanning strategy, growth planning, go-to-market, operational excellence, and organization design.
He began his career as a Management Trainee with Tata Administrative Services and earlier worked as a Development Engineer at Mentor Graphics.
Amar holds an MBA in Strategy & Operations from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
