Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, March 2026 – Amar Poddatooru has joined Focus Partners Australia as Head of Technology and Data, bringing with him extensive leadership experience in data strategy, governance, and enterprise technology transformation across leading organizations in Australia.
In his new role, Amar will lead the organization’s technology and data agenda, focusing on strengthening data capabilities, driving innovation, and enabling strategic decision-making through advanced data frameworks and digital systems.
Prior to joining Focus Partners Australia, Amar served as Data Governance Officer at Blackmores Group, where he played a key role in strengthening data governance practices and ensuring data integrity across the organization.
Earlier, he was Head of Data & Technology at Australian Ethical Investment, where he led enterprise-wide data and technology initiatives, supporting business growth through robust data infrastructure and strategic digital capabilities.
Amar also held a significant leadership role at QBE Insurance as Group Head of Data Strategy & Governance, where he contributed to building enterprise data strategy frameworks and advancing analytics capabilities across the organization.
His experience further includes leadership roles at nbn™ Australia and RP Data, where he managed enterprise data quality, metadata, and data operations, strengthening organizational data ecosystems.
He began his career with strong technical and architectural roles at organizations such as News Corporation and Woolworths Limited, where he built deep expertise in integration architecture, software development, and IT operations over a decade-long tenure.
