Mumbai, Maharashtra, India – November 2024 – Amardeep Chougale has joined APL Logistics India Pvt. Ltd. as the Country Head & Managing Director, marking a strategic step for the company in enhancing its operational and digital growth across India. In his new role, Amardeep will lead the company’s country-wide strategy, manage P&L, and oversee customer service, cross-business collaboration, supplier relationships, and government compliance. He will play a crucial role in business planning and execution, driving new capabilities, advancing technology, and fostering organizational growth.
Amardeep joins APL Logistics from Freight Tiger, where he served as Vice President – Customer Success & Development. Over his 3.5-year tenure, he led B2B business growth, customer retention, and P&L management, contributing to the company’s expansion in the logistics tech space. Before Freight Tiger, Amardeep was the Founder of Yoryo, a startup focused on developing TMS solutions. His entrepreneurial venture supported FMCG, pharma, and retail sectors in India, and Amardeep successfully exited after 3.5 years, demonstrating his expertise in product development, business strategy, and investor relations.
Prior to Yoryo, Amardeep held senior roles at DHL Supply Chain, where he rose to the position of Director – Strategy and COE (India Cluster). His seven-year stint included responsibilities in business strategy, P&L management, solution design, and warehouse and transportation management. Amardeep also made significant contributions to post-GST go-to-market strategies, digital transformation, and 4PL capabilities for clients such as Pfizer. Earlier, at Nokia, he was Head of Logistics Service Deployment & Strategy, where he established supply chain setups across emerging Asian markets and optimized distribution networks.
Amardeep’s journey began at Colgate-Palmolive as a Branch Logistics Manager, overseeing demand forecasting, warehouse operations, and logistics budgeting. He led critical projects, including process improvements for forecasting and customer service for Modern Trade clients.
