Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, December 2025 – Amber Dubey has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (Aero) at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, effective December 22, 2025. In this role, he will lead the group’s airport operations and aviation growth strategy, strengthening Adani Airports’ position as one of India’s most ambitious integrated aviation infrastructure platforms.
With over three decades of experience spanning public policy, consulting, and aviation infrastructure development, Dubey brings deep expertise in shaping large-scale reforms, public–private partnerships, and national aviation strategy. His appointment reinforces Adani Airports’ focus on governance-led expansion, infrastructure modernization, and globally benchmarked airport development.
In his most recent role, Dubey served as Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company for nearly three years, where he advised on aviation, infrastructure strategy, and large transformation programs, working closely with government bodies and global infrastructure leaders.
Prior to this, he held key public-sector leadership roles with the Government of India, serving for over three years as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, while simultaneously taking charge as Acting Vice Chancellor of the Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University. During this period, he played a pivotal role in aviation reforms, airport development frameworks, policy modernization, and academic capacity building for the sector.
Earlier, Dubey spent nearly seventeen years at KPMG India as Partner and Head – Aviation & Defence, where he shaped India’s aviation consulting landscape. He advised major public and private aviation stakeholders, led defence and aerospace strategy engagements, and served as Ex-Co-Chair for Aviation with CII, USIBC, and AMCHAM, along with multiple academic and national advisory roles.
He began his professional journey with Arthur Andersen & Co., AF Ferguson (now Deloitte), and the Steel Authority of India Limited, building a strong foundation in consulting, finance, and industrial operations.
Dubey holds an MBA in Strategy and Operations from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
