Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 — Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited has appointed Amit Bhargava as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In this role, he will lead the organisation’s information security strategy, strengthening cyber resilience, governance, and risk management across technology platforms supporting Tata AIG’s customers, partners, and operations.
Amit brings extensive BFSI information security and risk leadership experience across banking, insurance, and financial services, with a track record spanning security governance, compliance, and technology risk management.
Prior to joining Tata AIG General Insurance, Amit served at Axis Bank for four years, most recently as Senior Vice President-I, and earlier as Vice President – Information Security, based in Mumbai. His work at Axis added to his deep expertise in information security leadership within large-scale banking environments.
Before Axis Bank, he worked with OakNorth India as Vice President, Risk and Compliance in Gurugram, supporting risk governance and compliance priorities. He earlier served as Vice President at AU Small Finance Bank in Jaipur, contributing to risk and security leadership within a high-growth banking ecosystem.
Amit also spent over five years at YES BANK, where he progressed through multiple roles including Vice President – Information Security, Assistant Vice President – Information Security, Assistant Vice President – Ops Risk Management, and Senior Manager – Risk Management, building a strong foundation across security and operational risk leadership.
Earlier in his career, he served as Manager, Information Security at Union Bank of India, further strengthening his experience in security controls and risk governance within the Indian banking sector.
Amit holds an MBA in Information Systems & Security from Symbiosis International University.
