Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, June 2024 – Amit Gupta has taken on the role of Country Head Saudi Arabia at Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL). With extensive experience in the industry, Amit is set to lead the company’s operations in Saudi Arabia, bringing his expertise in managing large-scale projects and business development.
Amit Gupta’s journey with Kalpataru Projects International Limited began in April 2024, where he assumed the role of Country Head Saudi Arabia. Based in Al Khobar, Amit oversees the company’s operations and strategic initiatives in the region.
Before this, Amit served as the Senior Vice President – Plants and Overseas at Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited for approximately 4 years. His responsibilities included managing operations and business development for both domestic and international projects, showcasing his ability to drive growth and innovation.
From November 2017 to March 2020, Amit was the Managing Director at Sterna India (a Tahal Group Company), where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint in India. Additionally, he served as the Executive Vice President – Business Development and Strategy at Tahal Group, where he was instrumental in shaping the company’s strategic direction and business growth.
Amit’s leadership journey also includes his tenure as the President & CEO at Punj Lloyd Limited from June 2015 to May 2017. Here, he was responsible for the complete operations and business development of the oil and gas process plant vertical, both in India and overseas.
At Essar Projects (India) Limited, Amit held the position of CEO – Hydrocarbon SBU for approximately 9 years. During this time, he managed a business with a revenue of INR 2000 Crores, handling significant projects in the Indian sub-continent, South East Asia, and the Middle East.
