In this role, Amit will be responsible for shaping the HR strategy, fostering a progressive culture, and driving talent management initiatives across the organization.
Amit Kumar brings a wealth of experience in HR leadership, having served as Group Chief Human Resource Officer/Head HR at Karam Chand Thapar & Bros. (Coal Sales) Ltd. for three years. He led the HR, employee relations, and administration functions across multiple business lines, contributing to strategic growth and sustainability.
Prior to that, Amit was Chief Human Resources Officer/HR Director at SLMG Beverages Pvt Ltd for two years, where he managed HR during a rapid growth phase. He successfully merged decentralized units, facilitated transitions, and incubated core values that aligned with SLMG’s vision.
Before joining SLMG, Amit held the position of HR Director – Imerys India, Middle East & South Africa at Imerys for seven years. He played a pivotal role in HR transformations, talent acquisition, and sustainable development initiatives across decentralized business units, joint ventures, and project sites.
Amit’s earlier tenure includes serving as Head-HR, Employee Relations & Administration at Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. for six years, where he transformed HR functions, optimized manpower, and significantly improved employee engagement and retention.
