Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, July 2026 — BAXY Limited has appointed Amitt Mehta as Chief of Operations (COO) & Vice President, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to enhance its manufacturing capabilities, operational excellence, and business transformation initiatives across its diversified businesses.
In his new role, Amitt will lead enterprise-wide operations, oversee multiple manufacturing facilities, drive operational excellence, strengthen business transformation initiatives, and improve organizational performance while supporting BAXY’s long-term growth strategy across its automotive, mobility, and infrastructure businesses.
Prior to joining BAXY Limited, Amitt served as President – Operations & Business, Aluminium Lightweighting Precision Solutions (ALPS) at ASK Automotive Limited, where he led business operations, manufacturing excellence, operational strategy, and business performance for the company’s aluminium lightweighting division.
Earlier, he was Head of Business Management & Operations – Casting Division at Sahuwala Group – Arete22, where he spearheaded business management, manufacturing operations, strategic transformation, and operational improvements for the company’s automotive casting business serving leading OEMs.
Before that, Amitt spent more than nine years with UNO MINDA Group, where he held key leadership positions including Head of Business Operations and Plant Head, leading large-scale manufacturing operations, operational excellence, business performance, and plant transformation initiatives across multiple facilities.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Zeiss GKB Hi-Tech Lenses Ltd., serving as General Manager – Sales & Marketing (East Asian Countries) and Senior Operations Manager, gaining valuable international business and operations leadership experience.
He also held manufacturing leadership roles at UNO MINDA Group as Manufacturing Manager and Assembly Manager, before beginning his career with Honda Siel Cars Limited as Senior Engineer and Purolator India Limited as Assistant Manager, where he built a strong foundation in manufacturing engineering, production management, and operational excellence.
With nearly three decades of experience, Amitt Mehta has developed deep expertise in manufacturing leadership, operations management, P&L management, business transformation, lean manufacturing, supply chain optimization, operational excellence, plant management, strategic planning, and business growth. His appointment reflects BAXY Limited’s commitment to strengthening operational leadership as it continues its expansion across multiple business verticals.
Amitt Mehta is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Management from the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, complementing his extensive practical experience in manufacturing and business leadership.
