Islamabad, Pakistan – November 2024 – Amjad Iqbal has joined HBL Zarai Services as the Chief Human Resource Officer. In his new role, Amjad will drive the organization’s HR strategy and develop policies to support HBL Zarai Services’ mission of empowering Pakistan’s agricultural sector through innovation and community-focused initiatives. His leadership will be instrumental in shaping the workforce’s future and reinforcing a culture aligned with HBL’s commitment to agricultural and community development.
Previously, Amjad served as Group VP Business Growth Partners at PTCL Group, where he championed talent development and people engagement across PTCL and Ufone. In this role, he aligned HR strategies with business transformation goals, focusing on leadership cultivation and enhancing talent experiences. His experience in optimizing workforce potential positioned him as a key contributor to PTCL’s business growth and culture.
Earlier, as Group EVP, Center of Expertise at PTCL, Amjad managed core HR domains, including organizational effectiveness, rewards, talent acquisition, and succession planning, supporting both PTCL and Ufone. His strategic HR initiatives, especially in talent management and policy development, underscored his leadership in fostering a performance-driven work environment.
In his role as EVP of Talent Management and Culture at PTCL, Amjad implemented a range of talent and workplace strategies, including digitalization and leadership development. His efforts in HR digitization and Agile frameworks greatly contributed to PTCL’s transformation into a forward-thinking, digitally empowered organization.
