Singapore — Amos Herai has been named Managing Director and Vice President of Human Resources for the Asia-Pacific region at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), based in Singapore. This new role comes as a recognition of his extensive experience and contributions to RBC over the years.
Extensive Career at RBC:
Amos Herai has dedicated 18 years to RBC, playing pivotal roles across various geographies. He started his journey with the bank in 2006, serving as the Vice President of HR for RBC Caribbean Banking in Toronto, Ontario, where he led HR initiatives that significantly contributed to the region’s financial services sector for nearly 15 years.
In February 2021, Amos took on the role of Vice President of Human Resources at RBC’s headquarters in Canada. His leadership in this position involved directing strategic administrative functions and contributing to RBC’s overarching strategic and operational governance.
Previous Tenure:
Prior to joining RBC, Amos was the Regional HR Director at Hilton Caribbean in Trinidad and Tobago from October 1999 to May 2006. During his tenure, he oversaw human resources operations across the region, significantly enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Additionally, from June 1997 to June 2002, Amos served as the President of the HR Association of Trinidad and Tobago (HRMATT), where he was instrumental in advancing HR practices and professional development within the industry.
Amos’s career is marked by a deep commitment to HR excellence, strategic leadership, and innovative HR practices in the financial and hospitality industries. His extensive experience spans more than two decades, during which he has driven significant business transformations and HR strategies that align with corporate goals.
