Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, July 2025 — Amy Gow, PMP has stepped into the newly created role of Director, People and Organizational Development at CHEO Foundation, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished career at the intersection of HR strategy, DEI, and culture transformation.
As the Foundation’s first-ever Director in this function, Amy will report directly to the CEO, guiding people strategy and organizational effectiveness across the mission-driven healthcare philanthropy space. She will spearhead initiatives across performance management, total rewards, DEI integration, leadership development, and workforce analytics—all with the goal of cultivating a high-performance, values-based culture that supports the Foundation’s vision of enhancing pediatric healthcare.
Prior to joining CHEO Foundation, Amy served as Director, People, Culture and Diversity at Nature United, where she was part of the executive leadership team and led human resources, diversity and inclusion, and Indigenous Right Relations. Under her leadership, the organization experienced rapid growth and a 10% increase in employee engagement.
Before that, she held several leadership roles at Canadian Blood Services, including Program Director – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Manager – Continuous Improvement and Reporting, where she drove enterprise-wide transformation programs and HR process enhancements across a national footprint.
Amy also served in senior HR and strategic project roles at the City of Ottawa, was a Senior Analyst at McLagan, and started her consulting journey at Deloitte, where she focused on HR strategy and total rewards.
Amy holds an MSc in International Employment Relations & Human Resource Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BComm in Managing People and Organizations from Carleton University.
At CHEO Foundation, Amy’s appointment is poised to significantly enhance HR infrastructure, inclusion, and talent development—strengthening the organization’s ability to attract, grow, and retain values-aligned talent dedicated to pediatric healthcare.
