Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Anant Khatri has been appointed as Co-Head – Performing Credit Fund (PCF) at Piramal Alternatives, marking a significant step in his accomplished career spanning over 18 years in private credit, capital markets, and structured finance.
In his new role, Anant will co-lead the strategy and operations of the Performing Credit Fund, leveraging his extensive expertise in transaction origination, asset management, and fund operations. His appointment reinforces Piramal Alternatives’ commitment to building a stronger presence in India’s private credit ecosystem and driving strategic growth for its investment platforms.
Anant joins from Avendus, where he served as Executive Director, spearheading private credit investments. Prior to that, he contributed to the Piramal Structured Credit Opportunities Fund under Piramal Asset Management Private Ltd, managed in partnership with CDPQ, where he played an instrumental role in shaping the fund’s investment strategy and execution.
Earlier in his career, Anant held leadership roles at Kotak Mahindra Bank in Debt Capital Markets, where he focused on origination and structuring of large transactions, and at SBI Capital Markets, where he was responsible for project advisory and structured finance solutions. He began his career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Tata Motors, gaining valuable exposure to industrial operations before transitioning into finance.
An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Indore, Anant’s strong academic foundation complements his deep professional expertise, positioning him to drive sustainable growth and performance for Piramal Alternatives’ Performing Credit Fund.
