New York, United States, September 2024 – April Squillante has been appointed as the new Vice President of Human Resources at Cover Whale. In this role, she will be responsible for driving the HR strategy and overseeing talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement for the growing insurtech company. April’s extensive experience in HR leadership and consulting will be instrumental in supporting Cover Whale’s mission to innovate the commercial auto insurance industry.
Prior to joining Cover Whale, April Squillante worked as a Human Resources Business Consultant for over 12 years. Through her consulting firm, InfuseHR, Inc., April provided HR solutions across various industries, specializing in organizational design, leadership coaching, change management, and compliance for both public and private clients. Her work included notable projects such as HR M&A integration for Vail Resorts and executive coaching for Siemens.
Before her consulting career, April served as the Vice President of Human Resources at HelloHero for nearly two years, where she was a key member of the executive leadership team. She focused on building scalable HR infrastructures and driving employee engagement in a fully virtual workspace. Her leadership contributed to the company’s success during challenging market conditions.
At BrightFarms, April held the role of Vice President of Human Resources for over one year, where she aligned five business units around centralized HR processes, employee engagement programs, and compliance, ensuring business continuity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
April also spent nearly seven years as the Director of Human Resources at Tech Air / Airgas USA, LLC, where she led the HR department through a period of rapid growth driven by acquisitions. She successfully integrated nearly 30 companies and developed comprehensive HR programs to support the company’s expansion from 140 to 550 employees.
