Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2025 — Practo, India’s leading digital healthcare platform, has announced the appointment of Anant Patel as Vice President – Growth and Marketing. With over a decade of cross-industry experience in digital growth and marketing, Anant steps into this leadership role to accelerate Practo’s user acquisition, engagement, and brand expansion initiatives.

In his most recent role, Anant served as Director of Marketing at Disney+ Hotstar, where he led digital marketing across India, Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. During his tenure, he managed campaigns for marquee events such as the Indian Premier League (IPL) and ICC World Cups, playing a pivotal role in scaling user growth across multiple geographies. His strategic leadership contributed to transforming Disney+ Hotstar into one of the region’s leading OTT platforms.

Prior to Disney+ Hotstar, Anant was Associate Director – Marketing at MakeMyTrip, where he led mobile marketing for the Goibibo brand. He significantly boosted the app user base, growing installs from 10 million to over 50 million through innovative mobile growth strategies and partnerships with app stores, OEMs, and telecom players.

Anant also held key marketing roles at OLX India, where he oversaw mobile partnerships and app distribution across South Asia. Earlier in his career, he worked at Hungama Digital Media and Justdial, where he was instrumental in launching digital products in music, video, and local search, achieving significant user growth and engagement.

Known for his data-driven approach and deep understanding of digital ecosystems, Anant’s appointment comes at a time when Practo is intensifying its focus on consumer-centric growth strategies. His experience across digital media, travel, classifieds, and entertainment makes him uniquely positioned to drive Practo’s vision of delivering accessible, quality healthcare through technology.
