Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States, September 2025 – Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina has appointed Andrew Iwaskow as its new Chief People Officer. In this role, he will oversee all aspects of human resources to align people, processes, and technology with Goodwill’s mission, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization.
Iwaskow most recently served as Chief People Officer at Goodwill Keystone Area, where he provided strategic leadership for people, process, and technology functions. His role focused on strengthening organizational culture, employee engagement, and leadership development across the nonprofit’s regional operations.
Before that, he worked as an Independent Human Resources Consultant, offering executive coaching and strategic HR leadership guidance to organizations in transition.
He also spent nearly three years as Vice President of Human Resources at Dollar Tree Stores, supporting both Dollar Tree and Family Dollar banners. His responsibilities included HR business partner support for supply chain networks and corporate functions such as IT, Finance, Legal, and Strategy.
Earlier in his career, Iwaskow was Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Tailored Brands, Inc., where he led all aspects of HR strategy, corporate events, and communication. He also served as Vice President of Marketplace Human Resources at Toys“R”Us, providing HR leadership for both Toys“R”Us and Babies“R”Us operations across corporate and store teams.
Iwaskow’s longest tenure was with PetSmart, where he spent over a decade in progressive HR leadership roles. As Vice President of Field Human Resources, he developed HR strategies for more than 50,000 associates across 1,400+ stores in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. His efforts significantly improved employee engagement and introduced a best-in-class HR delivery model. Prior to that, he also served as Vice President of Corporate Office and Distribution and Director of Human Resources for PetSmart’s headquarters, where he drove key initiatives in diversity, inclusion, and organizational effectiveness.
Earlier in his career, Iwaskow held leadership roles with Party City and Staples, where he developed HR strategies for large-scale operations, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and leadership development across multiple regions.
