Kolkata, West Bengal, India, January 2026 — Sudip Chatterjee has been appointed as Executive Vice President & Zonal Head – East at Groww, strengthening the company’s regional leadership as it accelerates its expansion across eastern India. Based in Kolkata, Sudip will lead regional strategy and execution, focusing on scaling operations, strengthening customer engagement, and driving sustained growth in line with Groww’s mission of simplifying investing and financial services for millions of Indians.
Sudip joins Groww from RBL Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President & Zonal Head – Branch Banking & Retail Liabilities (East). In this role, he was responsible for driving branch-led growth, strengthening retail liabilities, and leading large, multi-city teams across the eastern region.
Prior to RBL Bank, he held senior leadership positions at IndusInd Bank as Senior Vice President & Zonal Head – Affluent Banking (East), and at YES Bank as Senior Vice President & Regional Head – Affluent Banking & Retail Wealth (East), where he played a key role in building affluent and wealth banking franchises and strengthening customer acquisition and engagement across the region.
Earlier in his career, Sudip worked with ING, DCB Bank, IndusInd Bank (earlier stint), and HDFC Bank, gaining deep exposure to branch banking, wealth management, transaction banking, and regional leadership roles. He began his professional journey with CESC Limited as an Industrial Trainee in Internal Audit.
With over 25 years of experience across retail banking, affluent banking, wealth management, and regional leadership, Sudip brings a strong blend of operational depth and customer-centric leadership to Groww’s expanding digital financial services ecosystem.
Sudip is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, where he completed the Post Graduate Executive Programme.
