Kingston, Jamaica, April 2025 – Anika Shuttleworth has been appointed as Chief Information Officer at JAMICTA – ICT Authority, a key institution leading Jamaica’s digital transformation initiatives. In this new role, Anika will spearhead enterprise-wide technology strategy, innovation, and IT governance to elevate the government’s digital service capabilities across the island.
Anika brings over two decades of extensive experience in public sector technology leadership. Prior to this appointment, she served as Chief Executive Officer (Acting) and then Chief Executive Officer at JAMICTA for more than four years, where she played a critical role in restructuring the ICT landscape following its reassignment to the Office of the Prime Minister. Her tenure included streamlining ICT operations, enhancing staff development, and delivering high-impact digital services across government entities.
Before stepping into executive leadership, she held various senior roles at eGov Jamaica Limited, including Senior Director, Business Solutions Services, Head of Research & Innovation, and Business Development Manager, accumulating over 14 years of progressive experience. Her career began as a Project Manager, Senior Business Analyst, and Trainer, giving her deep technical roots that support her strategic decision-making.
