Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, May 2025 – Swiggy has welcomed Ankit Jain as the new Senior Vice President of Operations at Instamart, marking a strategic addition to the company’s leadership team. In his new role, Ankit will be responsible for driving operational excellence and scaling Instamart’s complex supply chain ecosystem to meet growing consumer demand across India’s quick commerce space.
Sharing his enthusiasm about the new role, Ankit stated, “I’ve long admired Instamart’s operational excellence. I’m particularly excited by the scale and complexity of the business and the opportunity to work on some cutting-edge solutions to improve operations.”
Ankit brings over two decades of experience in building and scaling large-scale supply chains across industries and geographies. Prior to joining Swiggy, he spent nearly six years at Flipkart, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and Head of Grocery and Large Supply Chain and Ekart Design. He was responsible for leading a team of over 20,000 people and managing end-to-end supply chain processes including warehousing, logistics, material movement, last-mile delivery, and inventory optimization.
Before that, he served in various senior roles at Flipkart and Myntra, including leading supply chain design, demand and supply planning, and cost optimization strategies. His contributions were instrumental in designing the “Minutes” quick commerce supply chain model for Flipkart.
Ankit’s career spans over 14 years at Unilever, where he held diverse roles such as General Manager – Demand Planning and Planning Excellence, Director of Logistics and Warehousing, Factory Manager, and Innovation Manager – South Asia Personal Care. His work covered strategic planning, execution of greenfield projects, capacity planning, logistics transformation, and technology-led innovation across South Asia.
Earlier in his career, he served as Manufacturing Manager overseeing one of India’s largest toothpaste manufacturing units at Unilever, where he led teams, implemented TPM, and developed long-term operational roadmaps.
