New Delhi, Delhi, India, July 2025 – BowerGroupAsia (BGA) has announced the appointment of Anuj Gupta as Managing Director of its India practice, marking a strategic move to deepen the firm’s influence in India’s evolving policy and economic landscape. In this new role, Anuj will spearhead BGA’s efforts to support clients operating at the intersection of public policy and business, and will lead the firm’s India operations from its New Delhi office.
With over two decades of experience across both the Indian government and the private sector, Anuj brings an exceptional understanding of India’s regulatory, economic, and geopolitical environment. His background in managing regulatory affairs, trade negotiations, and strategic communications positions him uniquely to guide clients navigating India’s rapid economic ascent and regional influence in the Indo-Pacific.
Prior to joining BGA, Anuj Gupta served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Tata Group, where he led the conglomerate’s public policy initiatives and helped shape regulatory strategy across multiple sectors over nearly two years.
Before his tenure at Tata, Anuj was an Advisor to the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, where he contributed to strategic policy initiatives and provided government advisory in areas of economic development and regulation.
His most prominent public sector role was as Chief of Staff to the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Textiles, Government of India, where he played a key role in India’s global trade negotiations and the rollout of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. Prior to that, he served in senior advisory positions to ministers in the Finance and Power Ministries, contributing to the Union Budget and India’s transformation into a power-surplus nation.
Earlier in his career, Anuj held consulting roles at Strategic Decisions Group and KPMG, where he advised clients in manufacturing, infrastructure, financial services, and private equity. His deep experience across sectors has been instrumental in developing integrated investment and policy strategies for global and Indian stakeholders alike.
