Delhi, India, January 2026 – Arijit Ghosh has started his new role as Senior Vice President at Rolls-Royce, bringing with him over three decades of leadership experience across aerospace, defence, strategy consulting, diplomacy, and engineering.
In this new position at Rolls-Royce, Arijit will contribute to advancing the company’s engineering excellence and global business growth agenda. Rolls-Royce continues to be at the forefront of innovation, powering, protecting, and connecting people across air, sea, and land — and Arijit’s cross-sector leadership experience aligns strongly with this mission.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Arijit served for over seven years as Vice President of Business Development at TATA Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), Tata Group’s flagship defence and aerospace company. In this role, he drove strategic growth initiatives and business development across India’s rapidly expanding defence and aerospace ecosystem.
Earlier, he was President & Managing Director, Textron India at Textron, where he led the company’s India business, defined growth strategies, expanded sourcing footprint, and directed post-merger integration and engineering center operations across multiple business lines including aviation, defense, and industrial technologies.
Arijit also spent nearly nine years with Honeywell Aerospace, holding key leadership positions including President, Honeywell Aerospace – India, Country Head, Defense & Space, and Director, Strategy & Business Development. He led all three aerospace business units in India and South Asia, managed full P&L responsibilities, drove revenue and margin growth, and was part of the Europe, Middle East & India leadership team shaping regional strategy.
Earlier in his career, Arijit worked as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company, advising clients across telecommunications, chemicals, logistics, and B2B strategy. He also served as a Marketing Strategist at Burger King Corp, and spent eight years as an Indian Foreign Service Officer with the Government of India, representing India in Tokyo and Shanghai and leading economic engagement initiatives. He began his professional journey as a Project Engineer at Larsen & Toubro Limited, leading turnkey engineering projects.
Arijit holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University. His diverse career — spanning diplomacy, consulting, aerospace leadership, and strategic growth — positions him strongly for his new mandate at Rolls-Royce.
