Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 2026 – Trucare FZC has announced the appointment of Nishanth MP as its new Chief Operating Officer, marking a significant step in the company’s next phase of growth and regional expansion.
Nishanth brings over 28 years of leadership experience across India and the Middle East, including nearly two decades with The Walt Disney Company, where he led businesses spanning media, studios, and consumer products. His experience includes driving retail growth, commercial licensing, multi-category expansion, and distribution strategies across dynamic markets.
Prior to joining Trucare, Nishanth served as President – Middle East & Africa at RED RIDGE GLOBAL, Disney’s regional toy licensee headquartered in Shanghai. In this role, he led the group’s Middle East operations with full P&L responsibility, expanding the business across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other GCC markets through strong distributor networks, retail partnerships, and an e-commerce transformation initiative in the UAE.
During his long tenure at The Walt Disney Company, Nishanth held several senior leadership positions across India and the MENA region. Most recently, as Director & Country Head – Disney MENA | Licensing, Retail & Consumer Products, he led the licensing and consumer products business across categories including fashion, toys, FMCG, and e-commerce. With P&L responsibility, he delivered consistent year-on-year growth, drove a 30% AOP growth target in FY2025, and led a high-performing team while overseeing the transition of the Disney Consumer Products business from APAC to EMEA.
Earlier, as Head of New Business Development & Growth – Disney Consumer Products | India & South Asia, he expanded Disney’s presence across the Indian subcontinent, launching innovative partnerships and new business models. He also served as National Head – Disney Studio Promotions, Licensing & Partnerships, leading over 70 promotional brand collaborations across FMCG, retail, technology, and automotive sectors, and held multiple leadership roles within Disney Media Networks.
Nishanth began his career with Star India and Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group), building a strong foundation in media sales and commercial partnerships. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, where he completed the Advanced Management Program.
At Trucare FZC, Nishanth will focus on strengthening operational capabilities, scaling retail ecosystems, and accelerating the company’s business expansion across the MENA region, leveraging his extensive experience in licensing, distribution, and retail growth.
