Lisbon, Portugal, November 2025 – Hiscox, a leading global specialist insurance group, has appointed Armando Andrade as its Global Head of Talent Acquisition. In this role, Armando will spearhead Hiscox’s global recruitment strategy, leading initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent across its international operations. His appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to building a high-performance culture grounded in purpose, excellence, and human connection.
With more than two decades of experience in global talent acquisition, HR transformation, and employer branding, Armando brings a deep understanding of international workforce strategy. Most recently, he served as Head of Talent Acquisition – Niche / Specialized Recruitment for EMEA, AMS LATAM, and Iberia at Luxoft, where he led recruitment operations across multiple geographies and set up high-performing talent teams in Brazil, Spain, and Portugal. His leadership focused on aligning global workforce planning with organizational growth while enhancing digital recruitment models and employer branding initiatives.
Prior to that, Armando was Director of Worldwide Talent Acquisition (EMEA, LATAM, and APAC) at Laminar Projects, where he led the global talent team and built innovative hiring strategies that aligned with the company’s business goals. His efforts streamlined recruitment processes and strengthened Laminar’s global workforce capabilities.
Before Laminar, Armando held the role of Head of Talent Acquisition, Employer Brand, and HR Transformation at Daimler Truck AG, one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers. In this capacity, he was instrumental in driving recruitment excellence, enhancing the company’s employer brand, and supporting its transformation initiatives across global markets.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Global Talent Acquisition and HR Operations at Telesure Investment Holdings (TIH) and Head of Global Talent Acquisition, Employer Brand, and Graduate Recruitment at Discovery Limited, where he designed and implemented award-winning early career programs, talent centers of excellence, and HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors. His professional journey also includes impactful leadership roles at Philips, Vodacom, and EY, where he developed and executed large-scale recruitment strategies that integrated technology, data, and human insight to build sustainable talent ecosystems.
