Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, October 2024 – Arooshi Singh has been promoted to Chief People Officer at Unacademy, marking a significant leadership change at the edtech giant. After serving as Director of People Experience and Culture, Arooshi will now spearhead the company’s talent strategy and drive initiatives that further enhance Unacademy’s workplace culture.

CEO and co-founder of Unacademy, Gaurav Munjal, expressed his excitement about Arooshi’s promotion in a recent internal announcement. “Arooshi has been an integral part of our team for over seven remarkable years, and we are thrilled to see her take on this new role,” he shared.

Arooshi has been with Unacademy for over seven years, making significant contributions to the company’s HR and talent functions. Most recently, as the Director of People Experience and Culture, she was responsible for driving employee engagement, wellness, and organizational development, while also managing employer branding and HR business partnering. In this role, she cultivated an inclusive and high-performing work environment for Unacademy’s growing team.

Prior to this, Arooshi served as Associate Director of People Experience and Culture, where she oversaw key HR processes, ensuring a strong connection between employees and organizational goals. Her earlier role as Senior Manager of Employee Experience and Welfare highlighted her passion for employee well-being and engagement, shaping the company’s wellness initiatives.

Arooshi joined Unacademy as the Lead of Employee Wellness and Engagement, a role in which she developed and implemented programs aimed at improving employee well-being. Before her journey with Unacademy, she founded Rooh Yoga, a community-driven yoga studio, and taught mindfulness meditation, yoga, and specialized programs for children with special needs.

Her career started at Directi as a Business Development Specialist, where she provided strategic input, managed client accounts, and performed competitor and market analysis.
