With a rich and diverse background in engineering leadership, project execution, and manufacturing excellence, Arvind brings decades of expertise that align with Olam’s ambitious growth and transformation agenda in the agri-business sector.

Prior to joining Olam Group, Arvind Arya served as Head of Facilities Operations – Program Planner at Tata Electronics, where he played a pivotal role in establishing India’s first Semiconductor Fab in Gujarat, a multibillion-dollar project. He led the greenfield plant program from conceptualization to execution, coordinating with global technology partners, and defining infrastructure strategy and utilities across all technical disciplines.

Before Tata Electronics, he was Senior General Manager – Tech Ops & Projects at Intas Pharmaceuticals for over four years, managing 12 manufacturing sites including API, Injectable, and OSD units. He led a ₹5500 million Capex investment and steered large-scale engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as USFDA, EMA, and MHRA while overseeing a 450-member engineering team.

Earlier in his career, Arvind served as Head of Operations and Engineering at ITC Limited, where he managed nine diverse factories in the Haridwar ICML cluster. His leadership spanned greenfield projects, CAPEX planning, and coordination with statutory authorities to ensure engineering, safety, and environmental compliance across the cluster.

He also held significant leadership roles during his 6+ year tenure at Unilever, including as Manufacturing Excellence Lead and Senior Manufacturing Lead, where he drove plant optimization, TPM initiatives, cost savings, and engineering innovation in high-volume FMCG manufacturing.

His early career saw technical leadership positions at Pidilite Industries and Camphor & Allied Products Ltd, where he handled key utility operations, project installations, and energy optimization initiatives.
