Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Lupin has appointed Ashish Faujdar as Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), strengthening its leadership as it advances secure, innovation-led growth in the pharmaceutical sector. In this role, he will lead the organization’s global cybersecurity strategy, with a focus on safeguarding critical data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling secure digital transformation across the enterprise.
Before joining Lupin, Ashish Faujdar served as Group Head – Cyber Security | Data Protection at Mahindra Group. In that role, he contributed to strengthening cybersecurity and data protection priorities at the group level, adding further depth to his leadership profile in enterprise security and governance.
Prior to that, he was Group Chief Information Security Officer & Data Protection Officer at Mahindra Finance, where he led cybersecurity and data protection responsibilities in a highly regulated financial services environment. This assignment further reinforced his expertise in information security, risk management, and governance.
Earlier, Ashish Faujdar served as Global Head – Cyber Security | Risk | Compliance | Governance at Wipro, where he handled broad leadership responsibilities spanning cyber security, risk, compliance, and governance. Before that, he spent more than a decade at YES BANK as Head – Cyber Security & Systems Risks, building deep expertise in banking security, systems risk, and large-scale governance frameworks.
In the earlier years of his career, he worked as Team Leader IT & Security at HCL Comnet, Network & Security Administrator at Microland Limited, and Network Security Specialist at Networkers Home. These roles helped build the strong technical and operational foundation that has shaped his rise into senior cybersecurity leadership.
With extensive experience across cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, governance, and data protection, Ashish Faujdar brings to Lupin a strong and well-rounded leadership profile. His appointment comes at a time when secure digital transformation and enterprise-wide cyber resilience are becoming increasingly critical in the global pharmaceutical industry.
