Navin Mathur Elevated to Chief Executive Officer at Asvata

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Asvata, the climate solutions and carbon markets platform of the RPG Group, has elevated Navin Mathur to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Having successfully served as Chief Operating Officer, Mathur will now lead the company’s vision, strategy, and next phase of growth as it strengthens its position in climate solutions, carbon finance, nature-based solutions, and sustainability advisory.

Commenting on his appointment, Mathur shared that this milestone is both humbling and exciting. He expressed his gratitude to Anant Goenka and Rajat Bhargava for their trust, encouragement, and confidence, acknowledging that their guidance has been instrumental throughout his journey. Looking ahead, he reaffirmed his commitment to building Asvata into a leading climate solutions and carbon markets platform that creates meaningful impact for businesses, communities, and the environment.

Prior to assuming the CEO role, Mathur served as Chief Operating Officer at Asvata for nearly three years, where he was responsible for driving strategic growth, overseeing day-to-day operations, and scaling the company’s carbon advisory, carbon finance, and portfolio management businesses. Working closely with the group’s leadership, he played a key role in expanding Asvata’s capabilities while strengthening its position within the rapidly evolving climate solutions ecosystem.

Before joining Asvata, Mathur was Chief Operating Officer at First Climate India, where he led carbon sourcing, carbon offsetting, and sustainability consulting initiatives. His responsibilities included developing community-based climate projects, supporting global carbon finance investments, advising organizations on greenhouse gas accounting, decarbonization strategies, ESG reporting, sustainability frameworks, and voluntary carbon market development.

Earlier, he served as Director – Origination and Sales at EnKing International (EKI Energy Services Ltd.), leading global carbon sourcing and offsetting operations while expanding sustainability consulting and ESG advisory services. He also guided organizations in designing climate strategies, sustainability reporting frameworks, and nature-based community development initiatives aligned with international standards.

Mathur previously spent more than six years as Head – Business and Strategic Development at Carnival Group, where he led business expansion, acquisitions, sustainability initiatives, and environmental strategy across the diversified conglomerate. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade with Bunge India as Head – Emission Services, where he managed the Indian portfolio of the Bunge Emissions Fund, originated carbon credit investments, advised on emission reduction projects, and served on the fund’s investment committee overseeing global climate finance initiatives.

During the same period, he also served as Global Head – Services at Ecoinvest Services, the advisory division of Bunge Emission Markets, leading global consulting assignments covering climate change, sustainability reporting, life cycle assessments, environmental due diligence, and carbon advisory services for multinational clients.

Earlier in his career, Mathur spent over six years with Ernst & Young as Environmental Services Manager, where he became a subject matter expert in Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), sustainability reporting, ISO management systems, environmental due diligence, and climate advisory projects. He began his professional journey with Vimta Labs Limited as an Environmental Engineer, delivering environmental impact assessments, environmental management plans, risk studies, and regulatory consulting for the power, mining, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors.

With nearly three decades of leadership experience spanning climate finance, carbon markets, sustainability consulting, environmental engineering, ESG strategy, and business transformation, Navin Mathur brings deep domain expertise to his new role. His appointment reflects Asvata’s commitment to accelerating climate action, expanding carbon market solutions, and enabling organizations to achieve measurable environmental and business outcomes.
