Based in Chandigarh, Thukral will lead the bancassurance partnership with Axis Bank, with responsibility for driving strategic alignment, accelerating business growth, and strengthening partner engagement across the distribution network to maximize insurance penetration through banking channels.
With close to 15 years of experience in the life insurance sector, Thukral brings deep specialization in Bancassurance and Relationship Management, backed by a strong record of scaling partnerships, building distribution momentum, and leading teams through complex growth mandates.
Prior to joining Axis Max Life Insurance Limited, Thukral spent nearly eight years with Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, where she progressed through several leadership roles and most recently served as Zonal Sales Manager. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in the HDFC Bank relationship, managing the partnership at both circle and zonal levels while driving execution across key distribution priorities.
Before this, she served as Cluster Manager at Max Life Insurance Company Limited, strengthening her expertise in partner-led growth, distribution governance, and relationship execution. She also held leadership responsibilities at Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Limited, building on-ground capability in driving performance and partner engagement. Earlier in her career, Thukral worked with HDFC Life and began her professional journey in 2010 at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited as a Key Relationship Manager, building a strong foundation in channel distribution, business development, and team management.
