New Delhi, Delhi, India, August 2026 — Pankaj Doval has been appointed Senior Vice President – Corporate Affairs & Public Policy at JSW Motors Limited, bringing nearly three decades of journalism, corporate-sector reporting, public-policy coverage, and engagement with government and industry stakeholders.
In his new role, Pankaj will contribute his extensive understanding of India’s corporate, automotive, technology, regulatory, and public-policy landscape as JSW Motors advances its plans in sustainable passenger mobility. His experience engaging with policymakers, senior bureaucrats, government ministries, industry associations, and business leaders will support the company’s corporate affairs and policy agenda.
Before joining JSW Motors, Pankaj was associated with Times Internet as Editor – Special Projects and Digital Initiatives, where he worked on specialised editorial and digital initiatives.
He previously served as National Editor at The Times of India, leading national-level editorial coverage. During his long association with Bennett Coleman and Company Limited, part of the Times Group, he also held roles including Senior Editor and Senior Assistant Editor – Corporate and Economy Bureau.
Across nearly 19 years with the Times Group, Pankaj led and contributed to coverage of the automobile, electronics, telecommunications, information technology, corporate affairs, and wider economic sectors. His work involved tracking policy developments and government interventions, analysing corporate and regulatory changes, and engaging with central government ministers, senior bureaucrats, corporate leaders, and industry bodies including CII, FICCI, NITI Aayog, and NASSCOM.
Earlier, Pankaj worked as a Special Correspondent with Financial Express, where he covered the Indian corporate sector, corporate-law reforms, media, consumer electronics, and automobile companies.
He also served as Principal Correspondent and Head of the National Corporate Bureau at Press Trust of India, leading corporate-sector reporting for the national news agency and covering proceedings in the Lok Sabha.
Pankaj began his journalism career with United News of India as a Senior Correspondent, reporting on politics, elections, business, economic developments, and sports. He also contributed to national news-desk operations and the development of the organisation’s news website.
His appointment brings deep editorial judgment, public-policy knowledge, regulatory awareness, and stakeholder-engagement experience to JSW Motors as the company builds its presence in India’s evolving mobility and electric-vehicle ecosystem.
