New York, United States, August 2026 — L’Oréal has elevated Rahquel Purcell to the role of Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer, North America, expanding her leadership responsibilities to advance the company’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging agenda across the region.
Rahquel assumes the new role after serving as Chief Transformation Officer, North America, where she has been leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives since 2022. In her expanded mandate, she will drive L’Oréal North America’s DE&I strategy, fostering an inclusive culture, strengthening equitable talent practices, and supporting the organization’s commitment to creating a workplace where every employee can thrive.
A seasoned executive with more than three decades of leadership experience, Rahquel has built an impressive career spanning operations, supply chain, transformation, and organizational leadership. During her tenure at L’Oréal, she has served as Chief Operations Officer, North America, leading operations for more than 4,000 employees across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, packaging, development, and purchasing. She also held leadership positions as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Vice President, Operations – Americas, playing a key role in strengthening operational excellence and business performance across the region.
Before joining L’Oréal, Rahquel spent over six years with Procter & Gamble, where she held several senior leadership positions, including Director, Global Packaging Purchases, Director, Product Supply – New Business Creation, and Director, Product Supply NA Operations. She led large-scale global procurement, supply chain transformation, innovation initiatives, and distribution operations supporting billions of dollars in annual business. In addition to her executive responsibilities, she currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at MSC Industrial Supply Co.
Rahquel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where she was actively involved in the Black Student Union and Forensics & Debate.
