Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, August 2026 — WeRize, India’s first branchless, AI-powered social distribution FinTech platform for small-city India, today announced that it has strengthened its leadership team with key appointments, naming Harsh Mittal as Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) to oversee its product and technology functions. This strategic addition comes on the heels of impressive financial performance, with the company generating $70 million in gross revenues annualized runrate , $43 million in net revenues run-rate, $18 million in EBITDA run-rate , and over $9 million in net profit before taxes run-rate in Q1FY27—marking a 3x year-over-year growth and an ROE exceeding 20%. Looking ahead, WeRize is projecting approximately 2x growth in its topline and 3x growth in profit over the next 12 months.
The appointment follows the recent addition of Manu Prakash as Group Chief Financial Officer, as WeRize continues to build a senior leadership team suited for a company on the path for a public listing. WeRize aims to go for an initial public offering in two to three years,
Harsh brings over two decades of AI, product, technology and business leadership across fintech, commerce and telecom. An Alumuns of IIT Varanasi (BHU), he was most recently Chief Product & Technology Officer at SpiceMoney, where he led product, technology, data and digital transformation for one of India’s largest phygital financial-services platforms. Earlier, as founding CTO at Yubi ( fintech SAAS unicorn), he helped build the technology behind one of India’s largest digital lending SAAS platforms. Before moving into fintech, he held senior product and technology roles at Flipkart, Microsoft USA andMeta UK.
“WeRize has already built something genuinely hard to replicate: an AI layer trained on 20 billion+ data points across 4 million households, by incorporating AI enabled customization in a segment most platforms can’t reach profitably. My focus over the next phase will be further enhance Credit Guru”, ”Insurance Guru” and “Investments Guru” platforms to manage the AI powered financial journeys and tightening the loop between our AI models and the freelancer and customer experience for smarter product recommendations, and infrastructure that can hold up to the scrutiny and scale that comes with being a public company,” said Harsh Mittal on his appointment.

Manu Prakash joined WeRize as Group Chief Financial Officer in December 2025, leading finance, capital markets, governance and long-term financial strategy. He brings over two decades of experience in banking and structured finance, having held key leadership roles across major financial institutions. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Head of Debt & Capital Markets and Financial Institutions at CredAble,. His career also includes heading trade finance and product strategy at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) India , along with senior roles at HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and B.Tech from Delhi College of Engineering.
