County Durham, England, October 2024 – Ayshea Robertson has joined Atom bank as the new Chief People Officer, where she will lead the people strategy and cultural development initiatives. In this role, Ayshea will play a critical part in supporting Atom bank’s continued innovation and transformation in the digital banking space.
Prior to joining Atom bank, Ayshea spent over six years at Zen Internet, where she served as People & Culture Director and a Board Member. In this role, Ayshea led the strategic HR functions across workforce planning, compensation, benefits, and culture change, focusing on enhancing employee engagement and aligning HR strategies with the company’s growth objectives. She played a significant role in shaping the company’s workforce planning and talent development strategies.
Before Zen Internet, Ayshea was the Group HR Director at Bellway Homes, a leading UK housebuilder. During her one year and nine months tenure, she spearheaded the company’s HR strategy, focusing on attracting and retaining talent in a highly competitive industry. She was also responsible for overseeing talent and succession planning, as well as implementing a comprehensive apprenticeship programme, which contributed significantly to addressing the national skills shortage within the company.
Ayshea also held the position of HR Director at TSG, where she spent over three years leading the HR function for this national IT service provider. She successfully developed and implemented an engagement strategy, talent mapping process, and a well-being strategy that earned recognition through a CIPD award for ‘Excellence in Developing People’ in 2014. Her leadership in transforming the HR team helped position TSG as an employer of choice.
Earlier in her career, Ayshea served as the Director of Human Resources at Muckle LLP, a commercial law firm. During her two and a half years at Muckle, she played a pivotal role in aligning the HR strategy with the firm’s changing business needs and developed a talent framework to ensure robust succession planning. Her work in devising a work experience scheme for students from less privileged backgrounds was particularly impactful, fostering diversity and inclusion within the firm.
